Caller id sometimes doesnt appear on specific dahdi!

hi ,
i have 7 dahdi analog lines , and have a service from pstn to choose these numbers in a hunting group
the 1st number in hunting is dahdi 6 as you see from image below ,

my problem is ,
not always the caller id is shown ,
i mean sometimes the caller id is not shown , but most of calls recived with its caller id ,

note from image that two numbers wasn’t received by their caller ids!!!

but note that the other dahdi lines slways shows the caller id !!! with no problems

actually im not sure if this is a dahdi , or asterisk or hardware problem !!
where to start troubleshooting the problems from server and wt conf files should i revise ?

Which country, PSTN operator and PSTN access service?

Which CLID protocol.

If after the first ring (most of the world), are you answering the calls very quickly?

hi ,
im from palestine - Paltel Pstn
here is the pstn site ,
paltel.ps/index.php?lang=en

wt do you mean with pstn service ?? i have analog lines , did u mean that ??
about clid protocol i dont know it !!! ,can i know it from elastix or astersik ???

about last question ,
it just 2 rings before the caller redirect to my hunting phones .

regards

PSTN service: even within BT in the UK, one could get the service as analogue loop start, analogue earth start, or ISDN, and probably other variations.

Domestic lines are likely to be different from those sold for PABX use.

In the NL, you’re not even guaranteed to receive the caller ID : It can be empty, because either the operator or the calling party has it blocked.

hi , egmar
could u give me the directory of file to see this value ?

regards

dr.x: Not sure if this is related or not either but assuming your provider is sending you the callerid for the calls in question, there was a regression in 2.6.0 (fixed in 2.6.1) that would cause the server to fail to decode some callerid’s. If you’re running DAHDI, and not running DAHDI 2.6.1 I would recommend you update.

hi , sruffell
#############################################
mimo*CLI> dahdi show version
DAHDI Version: 2.4.1.2 Echo Canceller: OSLEC

i think my dahdi driver is old .ou

from the replies in my post i will say that the problem is asterisk issue and not from PSTN .
but keep in mind that the problem occurs at only one of 8 dahdhi lines not at all of them .
:frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

but i would like to tell you that i performed a test as follow :

the analog line from pstn , i connected it to both a telephone before it enter the pbx and to the pbx ( i mean that i conneted both telephone with CID screen , and pbx )
and began to monitor the calls .

i discovred somecalls not shown neither in my telephone with CID screen nor FOP !!! which give me announce that the problem is not from astersik !!!

anyway , i will try to update the system and give u a reply .

im really appreciating ur help
