In attempting to connect my Asterisk 1.2.17 to an NEC SV7000, I have uncovered that the NEC requires BV32 as a required codec, and replies with a 488 if it is not advertised in the INVITE. Is there any way to use BV32 with Asterisk? Is it possible that 1.4 is compatible with BV32?

Disregard. It appears that a codec mismatch actually had nothing to do with the problem we were having (as SIP 488 defines). NEC needs to go over their SIP handbook one more time.
