Asterisk & Cisco c3660

Hi All,

I have installed Asterisk 1.4.0 and the asterisk-gui on a Redhat EL 4 server. The installation went fine and all sip softphones can communicate with each other. The bit I don’t know how to configure is make Asterisk receive incoming calls from the E1 line connected to Cisco 3660 router.

I have configured the router with the following entries but still Asterisk is not receiving any calls.

dial-peer voice 2252 voip
destination-pattern 2252
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:192.168.1.75
codec g711ulaw

I appreciate any help in how to do such configuration

Regards,

Ramzi

Have you made an entry in your sip.conf file for the 3660?

Thank you for the reply. What sort if entry should I have in the sip.conf? I used the GUI to configure Asterisk and did not come accross anything related to Cisco.

Thank you

Ramzi

Here’s what I use for my 3662. Just replace the x.x.x.x with the IP address of your 3660.

[x.x.x.x]
context=default
type=friend
host=x.x.x.x
dtmfmode=rfc2833
disallow=all
allow=g729
allow=ulaw
