Asterisk calls diconnection issue for remote zoiper user

Hello Team,

We are using asterisk for calls. But there are some remote users using zoiper and those users disconnect frequently. Can you please suggest which asterisk commands can help me?

Thanks in Advance

Standard console output, a packet capture using something like tcpdump, or “pjsip set logger on”. You also have to define what “disconnect” means. Call disconnects? It becomes unregistered?

Please define “disconnect”.

To me, it might mean that the phones disappear from the network of their own
accord, or it could mean that Asterisk is cutting off calls to/from them, or it
could mean that Asterisk is timing out the SIP registration and the phones are
no longer reachable (even though they’re still network connected).

It might mean something else, of course.

Also, you say that “some remote users” are using Zoiper and those users
“disconnect frequently”. What are other users using (the ones who don’t
disconnect frequently) instead of Zoiper?

Focusing on what’s different between the users who disconnect and the ones who
don’t might be instructive.

Finally, how are the Zoiper users connected to the Internet? Fully-cabled
connectivity? Wireless (802.11) network on a laptop or similar? Mobile (GSM)
data connectivity on a phone etc?

The more information you can give us to understand your situation, the more
likely it is we can think of how to help.

Antony.

2 days of trial and error can easily save you 5 minutes spent reading the
manual.

Hello Team,

All of the extensions are using zoiper client.

From disconnect I mean the zoiper extensions lose connectivity and call drops.

Oh, so is it true that “some have disconnection problems” and others don’t?

Or are you saying that all of the endpoints have call disconnection problems?

From disconnect I mean the zoiper extensions lose connectivity and call
drops.

Thanks for that detail.

How about the answers to my other questions? Or the ones Joshua Colp asked?

As I said earlier: The more information you can give us to understand your
situation, the more likely it is we can think of how to help.

At present all we know is “some of your endpoint telephones are experiencing
call drop problems”.

We know nothing about your network connectivity, log files, dialplan, console
output…

If you want us to guess, I’d say my best guess is “you have a networking
problem”.

Suggesting that the universe could not exist if any of several “magic
numbers”, such as the gravitational constant or the speed of light, were even
a tiny bit different is like saying that a car cannot work if you change the
thread of the wheelnuts. All you have to do is change the thread of the bolts
as well.
