i have just done the asterisk 1.2 installation. i want to connect my sip provider using eyebeam softphone through asterisk.
facing a trouble to configure it. searched all over the net. no possible solution found. looking help to configure the asterisk.conf, extensions.conf and sip.conf

So there is nothing on voip-info or in the 185000 entries in googles database.
And the sample configs installed when you compiled * didnt help either.
Well I can tell you it is out there to be found.
what i mean is, there is no stright forward help we i can find. each and every one recommending their own configuration methods.
to configure a xlite i found 40+ diferent types of methods in the internet.
even people written the setup mixed up with the digium hardwares kinda…
i just came here to know the recommended configuration.

Go in to the source directory of asterisk and do Make Samples. BE CAREFULL - This command will wipe out your current config files. One you do that, asterisk will create samples. In sip.conf you will see a sample for x-lite which is what you need. Also it is worth reading the book: Asterisk the future of telephony (h6315.com/ast_book/). If you read the book you will learn what the diffrent things mean and what is and isnt needed.
