I’m afraid with the increase in LLM usage it’s time for an official AI policy when it comes to code contribution. I’ve been keeping tabs on what others have come up with and one in particular resonated with me and looked like a good option to use as a base - one from Apache Spark. It does not prevent LLM usage as that is impossible in my opinion, but it does place conditions on its usage and explicitly states that we can close PRs without further review.
