Agi-bin not found at /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin

Hi

I am newbie to asterisk but its really awesome with its unique features

I have followed this url ( voip-info.org/wiki/view/Aste … stallation )

i was trying to run a perl script as shown below

exten => 1234,1,Answer
exten => 1234,2,AGI(festival-script.pl|Welcome to the wonderful world of Asterisk! Your phone number is ${CALLERIDNUM}.)
exten => 1234,3,Hangup

but the location /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin not exists in asterisk 1.8

That’s not true. That directory is definitely included by the things installed by make install for 1.8.8.2.

Hi David

I have installed the asterisk from repository using apt-get in ubuntu. i have also installed a libasterisk-agi-perl assuming it may create the target location but didnt …

could you please tell me where does the AGI searches in my case ?

Ask the packager. I suspect it goes in the standard directory, but the packager forgot to create that directory in the package. Assuming they haven’t completely messed up the file locations, /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf will tell you where it is expeceted to be.
