8945 Cisco with Asterisk or any Video SIP phone supoorted

I searched for this for long time and i cant find a confirmed answer
so any one can confirm that 8945 Cisco can work without issue with Asterisk especially for video calls?
and what about video conferencing ?

also any one can recommend any other SIP phone that support video calls any model or company but Cisco will be recommended

We are using the 8945. We don’t yet have all the features enabled, but video calls do work. Conferencing does not. We are using freepbx with asterisk 11.11 that has been patched to support blf and 640x480 video.

Thanks alot ami_mac

may you please post your working xml including the video support , and the url for the patch you applied to the freepbx with asterisk 11.11

Here is the BLF patch: issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/ASTERISK-13145

Video Patch: lists.digium.com/pipermail/aster … 03560.html

We are using firmware SIP8941_8945.9-3-4-17. 9.4.1 crashes on video calls have not tried 9.4.2 yet

Here is another good link for the 9971 phone: community.freepbx.org/t/cisco-99 … tips/13481

This is a working SEPMAC file, but like I said we still are making changes:

One tip: enable verbose logging on your tftp server to see what the phone is asking for.

Thanks ami_mac I really appreciate it
i will give it a try

In 9.4.2SR2-2 it should be used <preferredCodec>g711alaw</preferredCodec> instead default L16 codec.
