I’m writing an opinion piece on the Vonage Verizon Patent suit and, since the judgment hinges on the interfacing of PSTN with IP (and the subsequent routing there of) on a patent issued to Verison in 2001, I thought it would be relevant to my discussion to talk about the history and evolution of Zaptel. I read a history by Jim Dixon http://www.asteriskdocs.org/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=10 Describing how he evolved to produce the Zaptel project but it is light on time line information. Is there a way I can reach him or, to avoid bothering him, can someone else flesh out his time line?
