Zaptel signaling problem

Hello I’m using asterisk with a panasonic pbx. Asterisk is conected to an internal number (108) with an FXO card (X100p clone). The only problem is when I try to call from a SIP user to another internal number of the panasonic PBX (a call from panasonic to asterisk works). The problem is that when the internal number (example: internal number panasonic 102) tries to take the call, asterisk doesn’t detect the “answer state”, it follows in ringing, asterisk shows ringing a lot of times while 102 has taken the call:

Executing [102@internos:1] Dial(“SIP/205-0859db78”, “zap/1/102|20|r”) in new stack
– Called 1/102
– Zap/1-1 is ringing
– Zap/1-1 is ringing
– Zap/1-1 is ringing
– Zap/1-1 is ringing
– Zap/1-1 is ringing
– Zap/1-1 is ringing
– Zap/1-1 is ringing
– Zap/1-1 answered SIP/205-0859db78

A lot of times the last sentence doesn’t appear and the call is directly hanged up. In that case asterisk shows:

-- Called 1/102
-- Zap/1-1 is ringing
-- Zap/1-1 is ringing
-- Zap/1-1 is ringing
-- Zap/1-1 is ringing
-- Zap/1-1 is ringing
-- Zap/1-1 is ringing
-- Zap/1-1 is ringing

I think is a problem related with signaling, any suggestions???

Thanks

Hi,

It sounds like the problem is related to the work of the analogue interface card. As it is an X100P clone, my first recommendation would be to try with a more reliable card such as a Digium or Sangoma.

Good luck!
