# Zaptel installation after asterisk

Hi all,

I am new to asterisk.I already installed asterisk on my office and configure it as simple voice over ip.I recently bought 2 TDM cards (TBM04B and TBM22B) and added them to my server.  
I need to know ,can i install the zaptel driver now even if asterisk is installed before; because i noticed from the docs that always they signal the installation of zaptel before asterisk.I am somewhat confused.

sure you can.  
but don’t forget to restart asterisk after the zaptel configuration
