X100P only shows red alarm

I am trying to setup a Wildcard FXO, in the UK, but when I connect the BT FeatureLine zttool shows Red Alarm always.

Once the modules have been loaded I get from dmesg :-

[quote]ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:02.0[A] -> Link [LNKC] -> GSI 12 (level, low) -> IRQ 12
wcfxo: DAA mode is 'FCC’
Found a Wildcard FXO: Wildcard X100P
Registered tone zone 4 (United Kingdom)

My zaptel.conf has the following :-

[quote]# Span 1: WCFXO/0 "Wildcard X100P Board 1"

Global data

loadzone = uk
defaultzone = uk

ztcfg -vvv shows :-

[quote]Zaptel Version: SVN-trunk-r1260
Echo Canceller: MG2

Channel map:

Channel 01: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 01)

1 channels configured.

Any ideas please ?

Hmm, im using the phone cable from my cordless phone. Could it be that which may be causing the problem ? What type of cable should I use if so ?

IIRC there were some weird pinouts on a few POTS handsets that i came across, e.g. the BT 6300 i use here uses pins 1 & 4 instead of 2 & 3.

on the BT plug you should have 2 & 5 connected and these should go to pins 2 & 3 on the smaller RJ11 that plugs into the card (often with a reversal).

I guess that is a standard modem connection then ? Hmmm, perhaps I should get a TDM400P instead with true FXO modules.
