Write back the callerid(name) to Polycom SIP phone

Hi,

I am using a Polycom phone IP 500 together with * 1.2.17.

Is it possible to write back the callerid name back to the display of the phone after dialing a number which name can be resolved with ldap for example?

For incoming calls this works fine with callerid(name)=xxxxx.

This seems to be a very popular proprietary PBX phone feature. I’m quite surprised that general IP phones doesn’t have this. (Some similar threads went cold.)
