The fist comment has to be about the pricing: 3Com Asterisk’s list price is about $1600. With that kind of money I can buy two Dell servers.

What are the main differences or limitations between a solid state Asterisk and a disk based one? Just the disk?
Since it only offers analog ports, I suppose that the appliance is targeted towards small offices.
Most importantly for a sysadmin: can I connect through ssh and have a shell in the 3Com Asterisk?? Does it offer http management only?
