Hi. I am looking for a SIP voice client that can work within a web browser. I’d like to avoid going the Java applet way. Ideally looking for something Web2.0 based … something like the way Google video chat runs inside the browser. Any pointers?
Big thanks!

You can try MozPhone, it’s a Firefox add-on. Sounds perfect for you.

Sounds good. Ideally though I’d prefer if it were cross platform. I also noticed some ActiveX based clients that did the job, but that would make it locked to IE. That is why Web 2.0 was my first choice, but I don’t think Javascript has any capabilities to support microphone access. Another option in my mind is Flash which could make it browser independent.
