Is there a version of Asterisk that supports voice mail encryption? Our company internally hosts our PBX systems but we’re working on becoming HIPAA compliant so voicemails = PHI.
There is no support built into Asterisk for encrypting things that are persistent.
Thank you for that reply. Our company is concerned about HIPAA and PHI in the voicemails so I think our solution is going to be access to voicemails by email only and not store them locally on the system.
