Tying 2 Asterisk@Home systems over IAX

I am having a problem trying to tie two Asterisk@Home systems over IAX2. I have an extension set up on system A, and then a trunk on system B set up to connect to the extension on system A.

The trunk settings are: [code]host=systema.mycomp.com
secret=xxxx
type=peer
username=203

USER Context: 203

context=from-pstn
secret=xxxx
type=user

Register String: 203:xxxx@systema.mycomp.com

[/code]

The extension settings are: context: from-internal host: dynamic port: 4569 secret: xxxx type: friend username: 203

With this configuration, System B does not seem to register with System A.

Works like a charm. Might recommend using “ulaw” rather than “gsm” if you have the bandwidth (much better call quality) – or the best compromise between the two g729 (you need to buy licenses from Digium for this).
