Two problems when transferring calls & using follow me

hi ,

i have two major problems ,

1- when using follow me :

i will describe the problem with a scenario as below :

assume i have extension 100

and have extension 200

mow i configured follow me option so that , if 100 didn’t reply or unavailable , the call will be directed to extension 200 .

after doing that i have two issues :

a- if extension 100 didn’t replay , the call will be directed to extension 200 , and the extension 200 if didn’t rely w, the phone on 200 will still ring forever !!! :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

which is a big mistake , so how to set a time and hang a call if the extension 200 didn’t answer within a specific time ???

b- the 2nd issue is ,
the caller when be forwarding to extension 200 , he don’t hear music on hold !!!
he just hear a ring tone !!!
how to solve this issue ??? , how to set music on hold instead of ring tone when transfering a call ??

Follow me is not an Asterisk option. It is probably an Elastix one.

im talking about follow me and also about transferring calls .

i mean if i transfer call from extention to another one ,

the caller will hear ring tone , and the phone will be ringing for ever .

im sure this is an astersik issue thats why i posted the problem here ,

This is not an asterisk issue. If you are using elastix go to the elastix forums. Elastix use a freepbx based system and freepbx is a webGUI so this is not and asterisk issue. You need to configure better your followme settings but ask in elastix forums.
