Transferring outbound call to a pre-recorded message

I’m looking for an efficient way to transfer an outbound call to a pre-recorded message.

ie:
Dialed call reaches voicemail–at this point I would like to transfer the outbound call to a pre-recorded message we have set up on our Asterisk Box.

Hoping I’m not to vague, any ideas would be appreciated.

sounds fairly simple, you setup an extension in your dialplan that answers, play’s a sound file, then hangs up. all you have to do is perform a blind transfer to this extension.
