This is off topic, but I figured I’d ask here. Before we setup our PBX system at a client site we have to make sure the T1 is turned up. What exactly does this mean? Where could I even find out?
the provider (ie phone company) will “turn-up” the T1 when they have completed testing and you are ready. this means they will activate the service over the T1. Typically they schedule the time with you because if they turn it up and your equipment isnt connected they get alarms. After about an hour they will get tired of the alarms and shut the T1 down again.
