I have a system (elastix) using k1e1 board pci (old class) and I seek for use only network card. I have a router with tx rx cables and I think it could be replaced by a network cable with a network card. Is it possible? I mean, not more that big old expansive card. Only a network card using some kind of protocol that makes possible transmit E1 from router to network card (asterisk).
No. You cannot use an Ethernet device in place of an E1 device.
