During the initial setup I configure a static IP4 address and deselect IP6 altogether. After that process i can ping the machine while the setup continues to install. However once setup is complete and it does its first reboot. It disables ip4 and re-enables ip6. Naturally i cannot connect to the machine on my ip4 only network. After manually configuring the ip address again i then see firewall rule error notifications on the console. Why cant i just have a clean install with no strange behavior. Im doing this on VMWare and i have reinstalled a number of times every time with the same outcome. Also i cant seem to relaunch the gui based setup program from root cli.
