Standalone Voicemail using Asterisk

Have the following available to me:

-Siemens Hicom 300 switch
-FreePBX 2.9.0.7 Server from distro
-TMDN64P card on Siemens side
-Digium 1TE121BF card on FreePBX side
-A book on Asterisk

From the above the resources available is it possible to make a standalone voicemail server for the Siemens Hicom?

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

Yes, Possible you can make a standalone voice mail server if you have the good experience in asterisk.

If you wants to do let me know, I can help you.

The hardest parts of it will be to configure:
[ul]Proper call flow to go out from the switch to the T1 in the Asterisk machine.
MWI signalling, if you want the phones to “light-up” or do stutter dial-tone when the handset is picked up.
[/ul]
The rest is just basic asterisk setup. (Though, I like to use a real-time mysql database)

Excellent. Thanks for the replies and info
