Spiral in SIP

Hello all,

I have a error of “482 Loop Detected” with Asterisk.
I had a look on forums and I found this which is exactly the same problem I have.

After generating an INVITE, Asterisk receives the same INVITE (same Call ID) but with a different Request URI. So it should go on and not generates a “482 Loop Detected”.

Asterisk is confusing spiral and loop in SIP for a request URI :

  • loop : same Call ID and same Request URI
  • spiral : same Call ID but with a different Request URI

I would like to know if this problem of confusion (spiral/loop) has been corrected in last version of Asterisk or if there is a patch available ?
