Software Restart not working


We have an outage with Centrilink last weekend and they reported that their service is back up. Now, the spans show that they are still down on my end so I did a software restart (asterisk, wanrouter and dahdi) but I was surprise that I still do see the spans down.

To mitigate, we performed a server reboot which had fixed the issue. Exact scenario happened yesterday where our carrier got another outage and reboot is the only thing that fixed it.

My question is, why software restart is not working and I always need to perform a full server reboot?


Ask your hardware supplier. For current DIgium cards, this is something that would be covered by Digium commercial channels.
