I recently got a SIP connection from a local ITSP, and have had it successfully working with *. Today, however, it wasn’t receiving calls, although I was able to call out. It looks like the registration process got hung in some way, and a “sip reload” was able to resolve the problem.
I have a couple of questions:

Is it possible to build in an automatic process to check the connection is up on a regular basis?

Unless someone had mentioned to me they couldn’t get through, I wouldn’t have known about the issue - is there any mechanism to warn when a service is not correctly registered, other than monitoring the CLI?
