SIP register string

Hi,
My VOIP provider requires me to use register string:
username:pass@provider

I’m currently running TrixBox with minor problems and would like to test drive AsteriskNOW. How do I go about entering that string? I could not locate it on the GUI, does it need to be manually entered in sip.conf?

put register statement in [general] section of sip.conf.
