Setting emailonly=yes still leaves voicemail on phone

Using the GUI (version 2.0.4.4) to check “Send messages by e-mail only” under “Email settings for VoiceMails” does not appear to have any impact.

Whether turned on or off, it still leaves the voice mail on the phone (even after rebooting the Asterisk box).

What might I be doing wrong?
