Serious difficulty registering SIP Provider

#1

Hello,

I have spent a week already trying to pin the cause why my SIP provider wont register with Asterisk.

I am at the moment running Ubuntu 11.10 which is connected to Asterisk 1.8.4.4.

My router(running Tomato V1.28) has already been enabled to allow port forwarding as follows:-

On Proto Src Address Ext Ports Int Port Int Address Description
On Both 8000-20000 192.168.1.125 Asterisk RTP Fowarding
On Both 5060-5082 192.168.1.125 Asterisk SIP Fowarding

My sip.conf file has the following information registered

[general]
allow=ulaw
allow=g729
bindaddr=0.0.0.0
port=5060
register => 6xxxxx:xxxxxxxxx@216.115.69.144

[flowroute] ;keep this lowercase, do not change format
type=friend
secret=xxxxxxxxxxx
username=6xxxxxxxx
host=216.115.69.144
dtmfmode=rfc2833
context=inbound ;change to ‘ext-did’ or ‘from-trunk’ for asterisk@home
canreinvite=no
allow=ulaw
allow=g729
insecure=port,invite
fromdomain=216.115.69.144

When I run Asterisk and run sip reload

-P5K*CLI> sip reload
Reloading SIP

When I run Asterisk and run sip show peers

P5K*CLI> sip show peers
Name/username Host Dyn Forcerport ACL Port Status
1113 (Unspecified) D 0 Unmonitored
1115 (Unspecified) D 0 Unmonitored
2001 (Unspecified) D 0 Unmonitored
2002 (Unspecified) D 0 Unmonitored
flowroute/6xxxxxxxx 216.115.69.144 5060 Unmonitored
5 sip peers [Monitored: 0 online, 0 offline Unmonitored: 1 online, 4 offline]

I have deactivated/disconnected all the other SIP phones as I am trying to get my asterisk system to register with the SIP Server. For some reason the host(flowroute) does not register in the asterisk

I would highly appreciate if someone could provide insightful feedback to help solve this issue.

Thanks and Best Regards
Herbet
