Send commands to unix socket

I’m trying to send commands to Asterisk thru unix socket with netcat, it’s possible?

$ nc.openbsd -U /var/run/asterisk/asterisk.ctl
cc/435/11.25.3
dialplan reload

But nothing it’s return.

I don’t know of anyone who has done such a thing. Provided you could make it do the same thing as “asterisk -r” then it could work, but what that is you would likely need to read the Asterisk code.
