safe_asterisk timing

Hi all,

I generally used asterisk -vvvgc to start asterisk but the prob. is that when asterisk gets crash it is not starting again. For that i use safe_asterisk to start asterisk. I want to know what will be the time delay in between the crash and start when we use safe_asterisk.

maybe look in the safe_asterisk script. You might see a wait() or something there…

There is nothing like wait() or sleep pls is there anybody who is aware about the safe_asterisk.

nothing like sleep ??? so the line immediately after “Automatically restarting Asterisk.” that says “sleep 4” doesn’t count ?

also, you should factor in the time it takes to save the coredump. i would reckon my system takes about 12 seconds to recover from Asterisk throwing up all over the place.
