Request for Help from Haiti

Dear Sir/Madam,
We are writing to you from Haiti to ask for help.
Due to the Earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, 2010, most basic services became either cripple and/or very scared after leaving more than 213,000 people dead. We are working on developing an automated phone system directory so people can call and request for location for hospital, pharmacy and other needs. The system in return would provide them with the information for free or got them connected to the party.

Today, the phone system has become a powerful force for good in everyday life in Haiti.

That is why we are writing to you and your organization–we need your help. We believe that you will be able to help us and share the blessings of your organization success with this very worthwhile community project.
We are asking for donations of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) software license and Text to Speech (or more if you are able), to support our efforts to help develop this automated phone system. This service would be valuable asset to the Haitian people.

Briefly, we build our platform around Asterisk and VXI * . Haiti speaks french and creole.

We are sincerely grateful for your support!
