Hi. I am using asterisk-1.8.x
In my PBX i have configured all the phones to use Queue() instead of Dial()
For me is more reliable, what you think? I mean Queue(phone201,r) sounds like Dial()
The only problem is that i have to create each queue for each phone… what you think?

What makes that more reliable?

I’m not seeing how making a queue for one phone is better than using a Dial(). I dial a phone for x amount of time, if no answer I then proceed to voicemail. This is done for about 90% of the extensions. The others send the caller to a queue, ring until hung up, etc.

But in the end, if it works for you, then great. That is the beauty of Asterisk. You get to code up your own dialplan and use it how you like.
