Problem with .call

#1

I’m using some php code to generate a call, by creating a .call file. It’s all working fine except one thing:
1st: The person who does the call gets his phone ringing first
2nd: when he gets the handset, the destination starts do be called

My problem is that at 1st step, the callername and callernumber is “asterisk”… Is there any way to change it to anything different?

Part of the code i am using to create the .call file is:
fwrite($file,“Channel: SIP/”.$channel."\n"); //src
fwrite($file,“CALLERIDNAME:”.$callerid."\n"); //src callerid
fwrite($file,“WaitTime: 30\n”);
fwrite($file,“Context: default\n”);
fwrite($file,“Priority: 1\n”);
fwrite($file,“Extension: “.$extension.”\n”); //dst

Thanks for the help.

I’m pretty sure in the call file you can’t set calleridname, only callerid… If you look at the voip asterisk wiki

Hmm…could it be you are mixing two lines ?

Just to make sure:
Channel is the line holding the number which should be CALLED.
Extension is the “internal” number the call should be connected to.

Normally extension is your desktop phone.
Channel is the destination you want to call.
