PLEASE HELP! Asterisk memory and echo problems

#1

I am network Admin, Working with AVAYA for a long time but completely new to Asterisk. I have just invested 20K of my company’s money into asterisk. I am suppose to go live in 4 days. System is running asterisk@home on Cent OS. Cisco 7940G SIP phones. The box runs out of memory every 6 hours and requires a REBOOT.

I have never seen echo between VOIP to VOIP calls on the LAN. its a GIG network with no congestion. When users try to use speaker phone they hear feedback and if not the hear echo of their own voice.

Tried editing the ZAPATAL.conf etc.
If anyone can please provide some help I will be most grateful,

Thanks

u r using VOIP right? You just need to modify the sip.conf file.

#3

you’re going to have to be a bit more forthcoming with information before you get any real help.

what spec is the server ? how many clients ? what else is it running ? what is using all the available memory ? show us the output from lspci, lsmod and cat /proc/interrupts

what build of Asterisk are you using ?
