PCI v2.2 and v2.3

Good Day,

I have bought an integrated motherboard recently, MSI K9VGM-V that has a PCI v2.3 specification and I also bought a Digium PCI card with 2FXO and 2FXS ports (DGM-TDM22B). The card specification states that it is v2.2 compliant. My question is what is the difference between the two standards in terms of voltages and how will my PCI card be affected?

I’m not sure what the difference is but the card should work fine in PCI 2.2 and newer.

That’s my guess. The PCI 2.2 and 2.3 support 3.3V cards and 3.3V signalling. However I believe that v2.3 removes support for 5V cards by some amount and the most current version, version 3, removes support for 5V cards totally. I don’t know if anyone can verify this for me and tell me if they have had any experience with Digium cards and v2.3 ports. Thank you angler for your response.
