Is there a way I can override an extension, say for example a caller dials extension and it gets directed to s, so that I can capture the digits at the end of the phone number, without directing it to the extension requested?
highly unlikely, unless you’re talking about internal callers. if external, and your using a PRI, i would expect the telco to only send you the MSD anyway, at most the and they’ll ignore the additional DTMF from the caller.
what type of connection do you have ? can you acheive what you want with an IVR ?

Well we’re not entirely set up yet… We’re going to be going with a VoIP solution with maybe vonage or similar.
One way or another we can achieve what we need to do, it just means our service will have to answer the call and ask for input.
Initially we were hoping the caller could skip our menus by adding the extra digits at the end of the phone number so that we could catch the digits with the phone system and store them, then hangup.
