Outgoing call shows as anonymous

I’m testing outbound calls from Asterisk using a SIP trunk with VoIP.ms. When I call my other number, the call shows as Anonymous on the receiving end.

However, when I use the same SIP credentials in MicroSIP, the call displays the correct caller ID, so I don’t think the issue is with the SIP provider.

Previously, I had a different SIP provider configured in Asterisk, and outbound caller ID worked fine. When switching to VoIP.ms, I just updated the SIP credentials in the trunk and the Outbound CallerID in sip config and outbound routes, without changing anything else in the config.

Given that MicroSIP works and Asterisk doesn’t, I’m guessing the issue is with asterisk but i’m not sure why it was working with my other provider but not voip.ms

You haven’t provided configuration information or a SIP trace, which would be needed to see what is actually going on.
