# Opus codec question

Hello,

i have a question to gurus or someone with opus codec knowledge

i would like to use opus codec with Asterisk

OPUS. Does this codec compress as well as package the data?  
What is the output data structure from OPUS?  
Is the output data streaming or packets?  
What does the audio sampling scheme look like? and….  
Within the audio sampling scheme, what are the values for silence?  
Within the audio sampling scheme, what are the values for speech?
