Number Porting

I’m hoping someone here has experience with porting a single number from a business account(or can point me in the right direction).

We have 8 lines under 1 account with verizon. Is it possible to port one number (not the “master” number for the account) out? I’m sure this is a basic question, but I’ve been unable to find this information.

I think this is a basic question you need to take up with Verizon …

I don’t think I’d get a lot of cooperation from Verizon - it’s not really in their interest to help me figure out how to get out from under their overpriced service. I was hoping I could get input from someone else that has been through this.

I find it hard to believe I’m the only one who wants to try dumping verizon a little bit at a time. We just can’t afford to lose phone service - no phone, no patients - no patients, practice goes under.
