No digits announcements when parking [SOLVED]

Asterisk 1.6.2.7 on Centos 5.4

When I send a call to a the parking lot extension 700 I do not hear the extension announcements even though I can see the sound files being played in the log.
and all other sounds, .alaw or .gsm work correctly.

The parking works, and the call can be picked up from another extension.

All suggestion happily received.
