New features in Asterisk + Voicemail forwarding

Hi,

I’m new to the Asterisk community, and I’ve been managing an Asterisk phone box running a FreePBX front end in a small business environment. I am upgrading this box to the latest software and I have a couple questions:

  1. What are the new features of the latest version of Asterisk?
  2. Is there a way to forward local voicemail to an external destination?
  3. How would I get Asterisk to work with Google Voice?

Another quick question:

Some conference call participants in the past have been unable to connect to the call. Is there a way to make the conference calling system more reliable?
