Having a ‘scriptable’ tool to construct a benchmark will beat the snot out of trying to manage a bunch of sessions on a bunch of laptops. Especially when your super says ‘I wonder how a pi4 would do?’ and you have to re-run everything after changing that single variable.
You can 'cat /proc/net/dev' and 'top -b -n 1' and parse at will. That’s pretty lean. Maybe not really nice
Odd. I would think you would get stable numbers unless you are varying the number (or activity) of the channels or you are measuring very small intervals of time.
My bitrate and cpu utilization vary by less than 10% on a pi3b with 10 calls playing demo-congrats.
