# Make call with SIP java based client?

Hello,

I’ve searched for a solution in the archives with any success.

I would like to make a client (java-based) to call user. I know that Asterisk-java exists. But we need the manager to make a call and I would like to avoid it.

Any suggestion ?

Do you need to initiate a call from Asterisk itself or from remote.  
There is always the option to use a [SIP java client](https://www.mizu-voip.com/Software/Softphones/JVoIP.aspx) for this.

It seems to be exactly what I 'm looking for. I’ve never found this.
