Looking for clarity on FAXOPT(faxdetect)

We use PJSIP automatic fax detection. There are some cases where it would be beneficial for it to be turned off. We’ve developed a way to do this by just passing some variables around, but then I noticed FAXOPT(faxdetect).

If I set fax_detect=no in pjsip.conf will FAXOPT(faxdetect)=yes detect incoming faxes and redirect them to the fax extension?

It will. They operate in two different ways and don’t interact with each other in a way to prevent the other from working.
