After installing a new Asterisk server I’ve discovered an detail I should have but didn’t see before… Long ping times 180-200. I am not a network guru so I’m lost as to why. Anyone have any ideas on things I could look for?
Network setup…
DSL into network card 1 on Dell Windows 2003 server.
Network card 2 on windows 2003 server to switch.
Cable into card 1 on Dell Asterisk server.
Card 2 on asterisk server to switch.
All phones to switch (gigabit Dell)
The phones all have reservations on the Windows 2003 server’s dhcp settings so they get the same IP everytime.
