Loaded AsteriskNOW cannot get a single phone or work

Hello,
I have installed AsteriskNOW for one week now and i have not been able to get a single phone to load or ring.

I am at my wits end. What I need is clear instructions to help me configure asterisk from scratch, from the point of AsteriskNOW has completed installation and my Cisco 7960 phone is still in the box to the point phones are ringing.
I have tried to use the CLI and GUI.

If anyone has clear easy to follow instructions in PDF format I will be very grateful.
I have downloaded many PDF files and followed instructions from the guru site.

Mike,

The GUI on AsteriskNOW is FreePBX. You can find a relatively comprehensive guide to first steps with FreePBX here:

There is a bit of a learning curve to using Asterisk, even with a GUI. Depending on your situation, you might find something like Digium’s Switchvox a better fit.
