Issue : Lose connection to the voip provider

Hi @everyone,

Since a couple day I lose my connection to my VoIP Provider Belgium-Voip

This is the message that I have in my CLI Asterisk :

[Apr 20 16:58:01] WARNING[3139]: res_pjsip_outbound_registration.c:796 schedule_retry: No response received from 'sip:voip.belgium-voip.com:5060' on registration attempt to 'sip:04XXXXXXX@voip.belgium-voip.com:5060', retrying in '20'

[Apr 20 16:58:08] ERROR[3139]: res_pjsip.c:3922 endpt_send_request: Error 320046 'No working DNS nameserver (PJLIB_UTIL_EDNSNOWORKINGNS)' sending OPTIONS request to endpoint belgium-voip

Any idea ? It’s my domain name ?

Best regards,
Lordaker

Have you confirmed that your nameservers as configured in /etc/resolv.conf are working at the time, and that you can resolve the domain?

I use the domain 8.8.8.8

But I have something else when I make a ping on the domain name of my voip provider I’ve this one :

PS C:\> ping -a voip.belgium-voip.com

Envoi d’une requête 'ping' sur voip.3starsnet.com [188.66.8.19] avec 32 octets de données :
Réponse de 188.66.8.19 : octets=32 temps=118 ms TTL=52
Réponse de 188.66.8.19 : octets=32 temps=116 ms TTL=52
Réponse de 188.66.8.19 : octets=32 temps=114 ms TTL=52
Réponse de 188.66.8.19 : octets=32 temps=116 ms TTL=52

Statistiques Ping pour 188.66.8.19:
    Paquets : envoyés = 4, reçus = 4, perdus = 0 (perte 0%),
Durée approximative des boucles en millisecondes :
    Minimum = 114ms, Maximum = 118ms, Moyenne = 116ms

Do you think is normal the domain name change ?
voip.belgium-voip.com becomes voip.3starsnet.com with the same ip address 188.66.8.19

Depends on their network, can certainly do that. That’s also not a test from the system itself.

This is can be the issue ? No ?

What is the same? You have to provide new information and clarify what you mean.

I try to config my trunk pjsip with only the ip address 188.66.8.19 but nothing. It’s the same thing…

IPBX-Asterisk*CLI> pjsip show registrations

It’s not the same message. In this case a REGISTER was sent to that IP address and port, but there was no response. Previously the hostname wouldn’t even resolve. Why they aren’t responding - only they could answer.

I open the port 5060 on my router TP-Link Wireless too. But I don’t known what happen… :disappointed_relieved:

Maybe I must to bridge my router too. It’s a TP-Link Wireless.
