Interrupt sharing and zaptel?

Hello All,

I have built myself a mini itx using a via epia m10000 mb. It has been running for the last 5 days with no problems using a tdm01b. However when doing a cat /proc/interrupts i get the following:

0: 20180183 XT-PIC timer
2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
8: 1 XT-PIC rtc
9: 0 XT-PIC acpi
10: 0 XT-PIC ehci_hcd:usb1
11: 80679870 XT-PIC uhci_hcd:usb3, ohci1394, wctdm
12: 0 XT-PIC uhci_hcd:usb4
14: 51519 XT-PIC ide0
15: 1844733 XT-PIC uhci_hcd:usb2, eth0
NMI: 0
ERR: 0

As you can see my tdm01b (wctdm) shares its irq with 2 other devices, uhci_hcd:usb3 and ohci1394. I have turned off everything I can in the bios but it is not possible to disable onboard usb and firewire or assign them a particular irq.

Because its a mini itx it only has room for 1 pci slot so i cant change the slot and my mb does not support APIC.

I am not using usb or firewire so can i assume that my tdm01b will get along fine with usb/fire sharing the same irq? As I mentioned at first i have not experieced any sqeeks/popples/crackles so far.

Any advice/comments on the above would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

If it works, don’t change it :stuck_out_tongue:

IF you are not using the usb, i dont think it will give you troubles.

ok, i guess i will leave it as it is. Does anyone else have any experience with zaptel sharing interrupts without any problems?
