# INstallation problem

Hi,  
I am very new in asterisk. I am facing some problem in installing Asterisk-1.4.21.2.

Running commands under /usr/src/asterisk-version folder  
make clean  
./configur  
make menuselect  
make install (Here I am getting error)

/usr/bin/ld : can not find -lidn  
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status  
make[1]: \*\*\*[func\_curl.so] Error 1  
make[: \*\* [func] error 2

Kindly help me to solve the problem.

Do you follow the step in Readme file in the Asterisk’s source???  
I think that some dependencies are missing.
